Police have charged a woman in connection with a series of shop thefts at a retail park.
The charges relate to three reported thefts from the Next store at Victoria Retail Park in Netherfield, one on 3 August and two more on 18 August, and a theft from the Cardzone store on 8 August 2021.
It’s alleged a woman left the Next store without paying for underwear, pyjamas and perfume gift sets.
A candle was taken from Cardzone without payment being made.
A 42-year-old woman from Netherfield, has been charged with four counts of shop theft.
She has been bailed to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 1 September 2021.
Neighbourhood Inspector Chris Pearson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We know what an impact shoplifting can have on our local communities and businesses and we remain committed to tackling and reducing shop theft as one of our local policing priorities.
“We are continuing to work closely with retail partners to support them and provide crime prevention advice as well as locating and arresting suspects. We are also working with Gedling Borough Council on joint initiatives aimed at reducing retail crime.”
