Woman dies after being hit by a car in Rushcliffe

A woman has died after being hit by a car as she was out jogging.

The collision happened along Cropwell Road, close to where it merges into Radcliffe Road, in Cropwell Butler at approximately 8.50am on Sunday (15 May 2022).

Officers and paramedics were quickly in attendance but the woman sadly died at the scene from her injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are asking witnesses to come forward.

PC Christopher Taylor, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “A woman has tragically lost her life following this incident in Cropwell Butler and we have specialist officers supporting her family through this incredibly sad time.

“We’re working hard to establish the full circumstances of this incident and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any dash-cam footage that may be helpful to our investigation to please get in touch as soon as possible.”
