Woman due in court after stabbing at a Clifton house

A woman is due in court charged in connection with the stabbing of a man inside a house.

Officers were called to a disturbance at an address in Lanthwaite Close, Clifton, at 10.44 pm on Sunday (15 January 2023).

A man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital.

Kimberley Gormley, aged 34, of Lanthwaite Close, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

She has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday 18 January 2023).

Detective Constable Richard Doel, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “While this was a self-contained incident we are treating it extremely seriously and I am pleased we have now charged a suspect as we progress with our investigation.”
