Woman robbed at Nottingham cashpoint – image released

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was robbed at a cash machine in Nottingham.

The incident happened in Lower Parliament Street shortly before 11.50am on Monday 15 September.

The 62-year-old victim was using the machine when another woman snatched cash out of her hand.

A scuffle broke out during which a male accomplice appeared and helped the offender flee the scene via Clumber Street.

PC Nick Jamieson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a frightening incident for the robbery victim who thankfully wasn’t seriously injured.

“We are working hard to identify and locate those responsible for this appalling crime, including reviewing CCTV footage, and we are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who can assist the investigation to please contact us.

“Today we are releasing images of two people we would like to trace in connection with this incident. We appreciate the second image is not the best quality but we are hoping someone will recognise him from his coat and association with the pictured woman.

“We would also like to hear from any drivers who may have recorded dashcam footage of the incident.
