Woman seriously injured after campervan hits tree in Nottingham

A suspect has been arrested after a woman suffered serious injuries in a road traffic collision.

Emergency services were called to Hucknall Road, near Nottingham City Hospital, at 3.25am today, after a camper van left the road and collided with a tree.

A woman in her forties was removed from the vehicle and is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

An investigation into what happened is continuing.

Sergeant Craig Luckett, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation and Roads Policing Unit, said:

“A woman has suffered some extremely serious injuries and we have been working throughout the morning to understand how this vehicle came to leave the load.

“As our investigation continues I would like to appeal to any additional witnesses to come forward by calling 101 quoting incident 67 of 10 July 2025.”
