Electrical contractors have started work on the new substation.
Contractors begin work at the Nursery ( M&S Food Hall ) car park in West Bridgford.
Western Power are leading on the infrastructure upgrade that will see the car park continue to open at all times but with slight restrictions on capacity that will see around 12 spaces of the total 95 unavailable to the public.
Bridgford Road and Gordon Road car parks will continue to operate as normal.
Parts of Central Avenue and Croquet Lawn in the town will also be temporarily affected by the electrical engineering work.
The 12 unavailable spaces includes some Blue Badge holder bays but users can still safely access dedicated spaces in bay numbers 49 to 52 at the site and there are extensive Blue Badge bays at the Gordon Road and Bridgford Road locations.
Rushcliffe Borough Council says it apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused during the period of the works.
