Worth the Weight vintage kilo fashion seller comes to Nottingham

Worth the Weight, the largest kilo seller of vintage clothes in the UK, are coming to visit Nottingham this weekend.

St Mary’s Church will be hosting a Kilo sale where shoppers can grab a biodegradable bag on entry and get set to rummage through about 60 rails of fantastic vintage stock.

They bring 9 tonnes of garments along to each venue covering a broad range of categories.

Worth the Weight was set up in 2018 to fight fast fashion, selling vintage items at trade prices usually inaccessible to the public at just £20 per kilogram. With unisex, size inclusive pick n mix style browsing, there’s something for everyone!

Worth the Weight’s spokesperson Rowan Wolowacz says: “In the UK last year, 31% of clothes
ended up in landfill sites. This amounts to approximately 350 000 tonnes of clothes. Our mission is to divert these clothes from landfill, slow down the trend cycle and to provide a sustainable alternative to fast fashion.

“We do this by providing quality vintage clothing from all over the world that you might not find anywhere else at an accessible price.”

Saturday 2 JULY 2022.
