The Met Office has issued this weather warning for the East Midlands.
The warning is in force from 8pm Saturday 30 January until 11 am Sunday 31 January.
The Met Office said:
‘Following rainfall, and some snow, on Saturday surfaces are likely to remain wet and with temperatures widely falling below freezing icy stretches are likely to form.’

Today: 30 January
After an icy start it will stay cold in the north with sunny spells and a few wintry showers. Rain and strong winds in south with some hill snow, especially over Wales, clearing south during the afternoon.
Tonight:
Very cold for many northern and central places with a widespread, locally severe, frost. Cloud slowly clearing in south with winds easing.
Sunday:
Cold and clear for many, though cloud increasing from west bringing another band of rain to the southwest.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Rain will spread across many areas, turning to snow across central and especially northern parts of England and southern Scotland. Remaining cold in the north, milder in the south.
