500 bikers the part in charity Easter egg run

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service hosted over 500 bikers who travelled from the Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham City Centre to Mansfield Fire Station last weekend.

On arrival at the fire station, participants donated 1,368 Easter eggs. These eggs are now being distributed to 26 different children’s centres, charities, hospitals, and care providers in the local area.

Participants also donated cash to ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ charity on the day, as well as buying raffle tickets. The total amount raised will be used to provide day trips out for disadvantaged children.

People were able to sign up to our free Biker Down courses, and demonstrations took place by our Blood Bike colleagues to show people how to remove helmets safely.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s egg run and thank you to our NFRS staff and our partners for the assistance during this event.
