Adbolton Lane sewer works – road to reopen earlier than expected

Burst sewer works on Adbolton Lane are expected to be completed earlier than the 13 days originally estimated.

Amey working on behalf of Severn Trent water are expected to complete the full repair and reopen the road sometime on Tuesday 10 March.

The road closed unexpectedly on Friday 6th March and work expected to go on for 13 days started on Saturday morning.

However the work has been completed far quicker than expected.

Buses have been diverted as below because of the incident:

Nottingham City Transport said:

‘Due to a burst sewer, Severn Trent Water has closed Adbolton Lane to through traffic which means services 11 will have to be diverted until further notice.

‘Service 11 towards Lady Bay will operate its normal route as far as Trent Boulevard and Lady Bay Primary School then right Pierrepont Road, left Rutland Road, left Seymour Road, left Trent Boulevard to normal route.

‘Service 11 towards the City will commence from the the Seymour Road named stop on Trent Boulevard and then follow its normal route to City.’
