Vulnerable man punched and kicked in Nottingham robbery

Three men were arrested last night following a robbery which saw a vulnerable man being attacked and having his money and his keys taken.

The crime was reported around 10.30 pm at Golf Close in Bulwell which saw a man being punched and kicked.

The group of men fled but were quickly arrested after a search in the area.

Detective Sergeant Nick Wood is leading the investigation. He said: “This was a horrible incident which saw a vulnerable man being targeted after he went to the shop to buy essential items.

“We have stepped up patrols in the area and we will be offering reassurance to local residents. We are happy we have made three quick arrests in connection with the incident.

“We are still appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident. If you saw anything suspicious or have any information please get in touch by calling 101, quoting incident 813 of 4 May 2020.”

The victim suffered minor injuries.

The men aged 31, 18 and 17 were quickly arrested and remain in police custody.
