Man taken to hospital after being stabbed in the back in a Nottingham street

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the street.

Police were called to Berridge Road, Forest Fields, Nottingham, shortly after 6pm on Sunday evening after a man was attacked.

The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered a single stab wound to the back and was taken by ambulance to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Nobody has been arrested and a cordon remains in place at the scene as the investigation work continues.

Detective Constable Parminder Ahluwalia, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working to establish what happened and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or saw a man running away in the area shortly afterwards. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 521 of November 15. “
