County Councillor for West Bridgford South Jonathan Wheeler told the Wire: ‘I am delighted that the County Council has once again committed to investing in West Bridgford.
“Millions of pounds has been invested over this term, and I know residents will be delighted at these schemes being approved for the next financial year.
‘The Conservative-led Administration committed an extra £20m over this term in office, so over £140m will be invested in total. I know there will be people wanting other roads done, I have many more I want done in my area, and the Council is doing all it can to catch up on the investment after years of under investment under the previous administration.’
The funding is subject to a final sign off at the budget meeting in February, which is seen as a formality.
