Large quantities of heroin and cocaine seized in Nottingham drugs raid

Two suspects have been arrested after officers executed a warrant and seized suspected Class A drugs from a New Basford property.

The Berridge neighbourhood policing team showed their continued determination to ramp up the pressure on drug dealers after carrying out a coordinated raid with the force’s priority tasking team on the morning of Thursday 17 July.

After forcing entry to the property in Egypt Road, officers swiftly seized a large quantity of heroin and crack cocaine.

A man, aged 32, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and a woman, aged 31, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply the Class A drug heroin.

Sergeant Mark Southgate, of the Berridge neighbourhood policing team, said:

“Disrupting the illegal supply of drugs is a top priority for the city central area, and we will continue to carry out proactive warrants like this one to clamp down on offenders and protect vulnerable people from the harm this sort of criminality causes.
