Roadworks and closures across West Bridgford and Rushcliffe in June and July

Roadworks and restrictions across the borough scheduled for the next few weeks.

 

A series of temporary traffic restrictions will affect roads in West Bridgford and across Rushcliffe over the coming weeks.

The works include carriageway repairs, utility works, drainage surveys, temporary traffic signals and road closures.

In West Bridgford, two-way temporary traffic signals are in place on Musters Road, between Bridge Grove and Rushworth Avenue, until 4pm on Wednesday 17 June.

Severn Trent Water is carrying out work to repair a carriageway defect. The restrictions are in place 24 hours a day, with traffic control also being used on Rushworth Avenue.

On Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, two separate sets of carriageway repairs are planned.

Temporary two-way signals will be in use around 30 metres north of the junction with Greythorn Drive from 10.30am to 4pm on Monday 15 June.

Further works will take place at the junction of Loughborough Road and Chestnut Grove from 8am on Tuesday 16 June until 3pm on Wednesday 17 June.

Two-way signals will be in use daily between 8am and 3pm, with traffic control on Chestnut Grove only. The road will be clear outside those hours.

On Radcliffe Road, Gamston, lane closures will be in place overnight from 7pm on Monday 15 June until 4am on Tuesday 16 June.

The closures will affect the outer lane on the westbound side of the road, around 140 metres west of the junction with Old Tollerton Road. The works are being carried out by Com Telecom on behalf of BT to access chambers for cable recovery work.

Wilford Lane, West Bridgford, will be affected by four-way temporary traffic signals at the junction with Compton Acres and The Becket Way from 6am on Sunday 21 June until 6am on Monday 22 June.

Severn Trent Water is carrying out work to rebuild a chamber in the carriageway. The signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm.

A temporary road closure is also planned for Beckside, West Bridgford, on Thursday 16 July.

The closure will be in place from 8am to 4pm between the junction with Alford Road and a point 115 metres east, while Severn Trent Water replaces a damaged cover and frame.

The diversion route will use Ambleside, Radcliffe Road, Davies Road, Brockley Road, Eltham Road, Buckfast Way, Rufford Way, Stamford Road and Alford Road.

Elsewhere in Rushcliffe, Stop/Go boards will be used on Hollygate Lane, Cotgrave, around 50 metres from the junction with Rushes Way, on Monday 15 June.

The restriction will be in place for around one hour between 9am and 3pm while Touchstone Civils, working on behalf of Allison Homes, carries out a CCTV survey of existing manholes and drains.

On Main Street, Hickling, Stop/Go boards will be in use daily between 8am and 4pm from Wednesday 17 June until Friday 19 June.

The works will take place between Green Lane and Mill Lane while carriageway repairs are carried out.

On Melton Road, Stanford on Soar, two-way signals will be used from 9.30am to 3pm on Friday 19 June.

The works will take place around 470 metres east of the junction with Loughborough Road to repair and reinstate the central refuge.

Bridegate Lane, Hickling Pastures and Hickling, will also be affected by Stop/Go boards from Monday 22 June until Wednesday 24 June.

The restrictions will apply along the whole length of the road between 8am and 3pm daily for carriageway repairs.

A temporary road closure will also be in place on Rodney Road, West Bridgford, for a street party on Sunday 28 June.

The closure will apply from 1pm to 7pm between Stamford Road and Leahurst Road.

Earlier works on Kegworth Lane, Bunny, involved Stop/Go boards between Loughborough Road and Pendock Lane on Friday 12 June for carriageway repairs.
