NG Chartered Surveyors has announced the successful letting of Fanum House, 484 Derby Road, Nottingham, to supermarket giant Sainsbury’s.
The 9,118 sq ft property has been fitted-out to create a new convenience store for the retailer.
The two-storey building occupies a prominent location fronting Derby Road, one of Nottingham’s busiest arterial routes, and benefits from substantial on-site car parking. Its strategic position places it within close proximity to Nottingham University’s Jubilee Campus, the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC), and several established residential communities – making it ideally placed to serve both students and local residents.
Thomas Szymkiw, Head of Agency at NG Chartered Surveyors, brokered the deal on behalf of a landlord client. He said: “We are delighted to have secured such a well-known and respected tenant for Fanum House. The building’s visibility, excellent transport links, and generous parking made it an attractive proposition, and Sainsbury’s were quick to recognise its potential. This letting demonstrates the continued strength of Nottingham’s retail and roadside market, particularly in prime, well-connected locations such as Derby Road. We look forward to seeing the store serve the local community for years to come.”
The store will not only provide convenient grocery shopping for residents, students and commuters but also create new jobs for the local area.
Thomas added: “This latest letting adds to NG Chartered Surveyors’ track record of successfully matching high-profile occupiers with prime properties across the East Midlands. We continue to work with landlords and tenants alike to unlock value and bring forward opportunities that benefit businesses and the wider community.”
Tom Cullen of Colliers represented Sainsbury’s.
