Roadworks in West Bridgford and Rushcliffe this week

A series of temporary roadworks will take place across Rushcliffe and surrounding villages in January, with drivers warned to expect delays at several key locations due to traffic signals, stop-and-go controls and lane restrictions.

In West Bridgford, works are planned on Rugby Road at the roundabout with Compton Acres and Acorn Bank from Monday 12 January to Thursday 15 January. The scheme, promoted by Circet UK Wireless, will involve utility repair and maintenance works including a pole swap and ground-level works. Temporary four-way traffic signals will be in operation between 8am and 6pm, with manual control during peak periods between 7am and 9.30am and again from 3.30pm to 7pm. Drivers using the route, which links residential areas with the A52 and Compton Acres shopping area, are advised to allow extra time for journeys.

Also in West Bridgford, Boundary Road at its junction with Selby Road will be affected by works to install double yellow lines. The scheme, promoted by Via East Midlands, is scheduled to run from Wednesday 14 January to Friday 16 January between 9am and 3pm. Stop-and-go boards will be in use while lining works are carried out at the junction.

In Keyworth, Station Road will see temporary disruption on Tuesday 13 January as BT carries out a pole replacement adjacent to the junction with Park Road. Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in place between 8am and 5.30pm, with manual control during the morning and evening peak periods. Motorists are advised to take care when passing through the area, particularly during busy school and commuting times.

In Rempstone, the A6006 Main Street will be affected on Thursday 8 January between 10am and 3pm as Severn Trent Water installs monitoring equipment in a manhole between School Lane and Wysall Lane. Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in place for the duration of the works.

Bingham will also see works on Abbey Road from Wednesday 14 January to Friday 16 January, between 9am and 3pm. Via East Midlands will be installing double yellow lines, with stop-and-go boards in operation while lining works are completed.

Drivers are advised to plan journeys in advance, allow additional time where possible, and follow temporary traffic management in place. All dates and times are subject to change depending on weather conditions and operational requirements.
