Edwalton: Image shared after man bitten by dog in Wellin Lane

Officers investigating a dog bite would like to speak to the man pictured in this image.

The victim had to attend hospital after suffering injuries to his hand, wrist, and thigh.

The incident occurred in Wellin Lane, Edwalton, around 6am on 8 May.

Police have been analysing CCTV footage and making other local inquiries since the report came in.

They are now in a position to release this photo of a man they believe could have important information about the incident.

PC Haddon Smith, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a distressing incident for the victim, and we are working hard to track down the dog’s owner.

“We have reviewed CCTV footage and are now asking for the public’s help to identify the person in this image, who we believe can aid us in the investigation.

“If you recognise the man in the photo or have any information that could help, please call us on 101 quoting occurrence number 26*265571.

“Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
