Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for journeys across Nottingham next week, with a series of roadworks, closures, temporary lights and parking restrictions affecting routes in and around the city.
The works include longer-running schemes on Woodside Road, Lindfield Road, Nuthall Road and Derby Road, alongside shorter closures linked to resurfacing, utilities, tram repairs and tree maintenance.
A parking restriction remains in place on Woodside Road, between Derby Road and University Boulevard, for National Highways works. The restriction, which began on Tuesday 30 January, is due to remain in place until Sunday 31 May.
Lindfield Road is also closed between Alwyn Road and Shipley Road for Severn Trent works. The closure began on Sunday 15 March and is due to continue until Friday 21 August.
On Nuthall Road, a lane closure is in place between Western Boulevard and Melbourne Road for footway works. This began on Monday 20 April and is expected to continue until Friday 17 July.
A lane closure is also in place on Derby Road for resurfacing works until Saturday 6 June, while a lane closure on Gregory Boulevard for emergency Cadent Gas works is due to remain in place until Thursday 28 May.
Temporary two-way lights are in place at the Green Lane junction of Farnborough Road to the junction of Clifton Lane for Cadent Gas works until Monday 8 June.
Road closures and no-stopping restrictions are also in place on Melbourne Road, Robins Wood Road and Aspley Lane for carriageway resurfacing works until Sunday 31 May.
Until Wednesday 27 May, temporary signals are in place on Trowell Road, from opposite number 243 to the junction with Park Crescent. Road closures are also in place on Trowell Avenue and Birchwood Crescent at their junctions with Trowell Road for Cadent Gas works.
Several shorter schemes are also scheduled over the coming days. Goose Gate is closed from Thursday 21 May to Saturday 23 May for Severn Trent works, while two-way lights will be in place on Thane Road from Saturday 23 May to Sunday 24 May for National Grid works to the electrical substation.
A lane closure is due on Valley Road on Sunday 24 May for Severn Trent works.
From Monday 25 May to Thursday 28 May, there will be a road closure and parking suspensions on Arleston Drive for highways works.
Hungerton Street and Sherwin Road will also be subject to road closures and parking suspensions from Monday 25 May to Friday 29 May for manhole inspections and cleaning.
Goldsmith Street will be closed between Shakespeare Street and Talbot Street from Monday 25 May to Friday 29 May for tram repair works.
On Tuesday 26 May, Park Road will be closed for repairs to a telecom mast. Two-way lights will also be in place on Nottingham Road, between the junction of Bells Lane and Acer Court Care Home, for tree maintenance works.
Also on Tuesday 26 May, there will be a lane closure on Wollaton Vale for a culvert survey, and two-way lights on Sneinton Boulevard for Cadent Gas works.
A lane closure is planned on Western Boulevard from Tuesday 26 May to Wednesday 27 May to replace a defective manhole cover.
From Tuesday 26 May to Thursday 28 May, Waverley Street will have a cycle-lane closure and narrowed road layout for tree maintenance works, while two-way lights will be in place on Neston Drive for National Grid works.
Robins Wood Road will be closed on Wednesday 27 May for Severn Trent works.
At Melbourne Road, three-way lights are planned at the junction with Hilcot Drive from Friday 29 May to Wednesday 3 June for resurfacing works. A further road closure at the Melbourne Road junction with Hilcot Drive is then due to take place from Thursday 4 June to Sunday 7 June.
Drivers are advised to check routes before travelling, allow extra time and follow local diversion signs where closures are in place.
