Nottinghamshire weather for Thursday 2 July

Thursday 2 July is expected to be warm, breezy and mostly dry, with a chance of rain early in the morning before brighter conditions develop.

Temperatures will reach around 21°C during the afternoon, with high UV levels around lunchtime and early afternoon.

Early morning

The day will start mild but with some rain possible at first. Temperatures will be around 17°C at 5am, falling to 16°C at 6am and staying close to 16°C through 8am. The chance of rain is around 60% at 5am and 40% at 6am, before falling below 5% from 7am onwards. Winds will come from the west to west-north-west at around 15 mph, with gusts close to 30 to 32 mph. UV levels will be low, rising from 1 to 2 by 8am.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime should be dry with sunny intervals. Temperatures will rise from 17°C at 9am to 18°C by 10am, 19°C at 11am and 20°C by midday. The chance of rain remains below 5%. Winds will be from the west-north-west at around 15 to 16 mph, with gusts reaching about 34 to 35 mph. UV levels will rise from 3 at 9am to 5 at 10am, 6 at 11am and 7 by midday.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to stay mostly dry and bright, with some cloud at times. Temperatures will be around 20°C at 1pm, rising to 21°C from 2pm to 5pm. The chance of rain remains below 5%.

Winds will stay west-north-westerly at around 14 to 16 mph, with gusts between 30 and 34 mph. UV levels remain high at 7 around 1pm, before easing to 6 at 2pm, 5 at 3pm, 4 at 4pm and 3 by 5pm.

Evening

The evening will remain dry, with sunny spells at first before clearer skies later. Temperatures will ease from 21°C at 5pm to 20°C at 6pm and 7pm, 19°C at 8pm, 18°C at 9pm, 17°C at 10pm and 16°C by 11pm. The chance of rain stays below 5% throughout.

Winds will remain from the west-north-west for most of the evening, easing from around 14 mph to 9 mph, before turning westerly at around 7 mph by 11pm. Gusts will fall from about 30 mph early in the evening to around 11 mph late on. UV levels will fall from 3 at 5pm to 1 during the evening before fading after sunset.
