Early morning
Thursday will start dry and sunny, with temperatures already mild at around 17C at 5am, rising to 18C by 6am and 20C by 7am.
Winds will be light, mainly from the north-east and north-north-east at around 2mph. Gusts are expected to stay low, between 6mph and 8mph.
Visibility will be good at first, improving to very good by around 8am. Humidity will be high early on, at around 86% at 5am, before gradually falling through the morning.
Midday
By late morning and lunchtime, conditions will remain dry and sunny. Temperatures are forecast to rise quickly, reaching 27C by 10am, 28C by 11am and 30C by midday.
The chance of rain stays below 5%. Winds will remain light, around 2mph, turning from northerly to west-north-westerly by midday. Gusts are expected to be around 9mph.
Humidity will fall to around 38% by midday, with very good visibility. UV levels will become high, reaching 6 by 11am and 7 at midday, so sun protection is advisable for anyone spending time outdoors.
Afternoon
The afternoon is expected to be very hot, dry and sunny. Temperatures are forecast to reach 31C by 1pm and 32C by 2pm and 3pm, before rising to around 33C by 4pm.
The “feels like” temperature is expected to be around 32C through much of the afternoon. Winds will stay light, mainly from the west at around 2mph to 3mph, with gusts increasing slightly to around 13mph later in the afternoon.
Humidity will fall to around 20% by mid-afternoon, and visibility will remain very good. UV levels will stay high during the early afternoon, reaching 7 between midday and 2pm, before easing later.
Evening
The evening will remain hot and dry, with sunshine continuing until around 8pm before clear spells develop later.
Temperatures are expected to remain very warm, around 33C at 6pm, 32C at 7pm and 30C by 8pm. It will stay warm after sunset, falling to around 28C by 9pm, 26C by 10pm and 24C by 11pm.
Winds will turn north-westerly, northerly and then north-easterly during the evening, generally around 5mph to 7mph. Gusts may reach around 20mph to 21mph early in the evening before easing later.
Visibility will remain very good, while humidity will rise from around 20% early in the evening to 56% by 11pm. Rain is not expected.
