Teenager knocked unconscious in Nottingham street attack

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was knocked unconscious in a street attack.

The 13-year-old boy was assaulted by another teenager and a man close to the Chick Chick takeaway in Carlton Hill, Carlton, Nottingham, at around 8.30pm on 6 August 2026.

The victim was left briefly unconscious following the assault and suffered cuts, bruising and swelling to his eye and nose.

A 15-year-old boy and a 35-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm after the incident and have since been bailed.

Officers now want to appeal to the public as part of their ongoing investigation.

Police Constable Taya Penny, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Despite the arrests, we want to hear from anyone who witnessed this assault or has any recorded dashcam, doorbell, CCTV or mobile phone footage which could assist.

“A young boy has suffered some nasty facial injuries, so I’d urge anyone who can help to get in touch.”
