TG Jones has confirmed that its Nottingham Victoria Centre store is expected to close on 31 December 2026.
The retailer said the closure follows the implementation of its court-approved Restructuring Plan as it works to secure the long-term future of the business.
A closing-down sale will take place at the Nottingham city centre branch ahead of its final day of trading.
A spokesperson for TG Jones said: “As we work to secure the long-term future of TG Jones, we have confirmed that our Nottingham Victoria Centre shop will close.
“We know this is disappointing news for our colleagues, customers, and the local community.
“We are now focusing on supporting those affected and continuing to serve customers throughout the closure period.
“We would like to thank all of our colleagues for their commitment and the contribution they have made to TG Jones.”
TG Jones said customers will continue to be able to shop at nearby branches and online following the Nottingham closure.
The store also houses a Post Office branch, which is set to close as a consequence of TG Jones leaving the Victoria Centre.
The Post Office previously said it recognised the “challenging trading conditions” facing TG Jones and other high street retailers.
The latest statement now gives a firm expected closing date of 31 December for the TG Jones store, following the retailer’s earlier announcement that the Nottingham branch was among those earmarked for closure.
