Appeal after man exposed himself to woman at Nottinghamshire nature reserve

Police officers are seeking the public’s help after a man reportedly exposed himself to a woman at a nature reserve.

Inquiries have been carried out after it was reported that an unknown man engaged in an indecent act after walking behind the woman at Budby South Forest Nature Reserve, Perlethorpe-cum-Budby, at around 6.30pm on Saturday 26 September.

Officers are currently investigating the incident, which was reported to police three days later, and are urging potential witnesses or anyone who may know the man’s identity to come forward.

He is described as black, around 5ft 8in tall, of muscular build, with dark eyes and hair. He was naked but was wearing boots and a hat and was carrying a top and shorts in his hand.

He reportedly said his name was Jacob and that he was 24 years old.

PC Beatrice Sutton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We treat all offences of this nature extremely seriously, so are keen to identify this man.

“We’d encourage him or anyone who may have seen him or thinks they know who he could be to get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 444 of 29 September.
