Police recovered a stolen moped and motorbike during an operation to tackle car cruising and antisocial behaviour in Middlebeck, Newark.
Newark Neighbourhood Policing Team launched the operation following growing concerns from residents in Middlebeck and surrounding areas.
Officers said high-visibility patrols, proactive policing and engagement with drivers and residents had prevented a repeat of the reported activity over the past two weekends.
During the operation, officers recovered two stolen vehicles, a moped and a motorbike, which police said were both being driven in an antisocial manner.
The team thanked residents who had provided information and encouraged people to continue reporting concerns to help officers identify problems and direct patrols.
In an update, the team said: “We understand the impact that nuisance vehicles, excessive noise and dangerous driving can have on local residents.”
Police also indicated that patrols would continue, adding: “For the foreseeable, the only vehicles regularly doing laps around Middlebeck will be ours.”
