Police seized a rucksack full of drugs after following a suspicious vehicle through Nottingham.
Officers from the road crime team were on patrol in an unmarked vehicle in The Meadows around 2pm on Wednesday (7 October) when the car caught their attention.
The vehicle was followed as far as Enterprise Way where it was pulled over and the one man inside detained.
When officers searched the car they found a rucksack on the back seat which contained dozens of individual deal bags of cannabis.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
After a roadside drugs wipe found traces of cannabis, he was further arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.
Police Constable Gavin Hall, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Our team’s primary job is to put a stop to anyone using our road network to commit crime.
“On patrol we are always on the lookout for suspicious behaviour and the way this car was being driven caught our attention in The Meadows.
“When we pulled the vehicle over and searched it, we found drugs which we strongly believe were about to be sold on the streets.”
