A poor year gets better for West Bridgford RNLI

The last 12 months have not been a good time for the West Bridgford branch of the RNLI (Lifeboats).

Because of the Covid pandemic most fund-raising events have been either cancelled or postponed, causing a large drop in income, but Lifeboats have still been putting to sea saving lives.

Things have just got a bit better as the branch were invited to hold a collection on Saturday 27  Sunday 28 Nov at the “Blue Diamond” Garden Centre in East Bridgford, this they did and despite Storm Arwen hitting the East Midlands that weekend had two good days raising £1,348 Which was a great result, so a poor year just got a whole lot better.

The RNLI would like to thank the Blue Diamond staff for their assistance and support also the centre customers for their support. Thank you all.
