Drivers using the A610 are being advised to allow extra time for journeys next month as a series of daytime traffic management measures are planned along the route.
Broxtowe Borough Council has issued details of works covering the full length of the A610 between Eastwood, Kimberley and Nuthall, with lane closures scheduled on different sections from Tuesday May 12 to Sunday May 17.
The work is for ground maintenance to roadside verges and the central reservation.
On Tuesday May 12, lane closures are planned eastbound between Langley Mill Island and Ikea Island from 9.30am until 3pm.
On Wednesday May 13, restrictions move westbound between Ikea Island and Langley Mill Island, again from 9.30am until 3pm.
On Thursday May 14, eastbound lane closures are due between Ikea Island and the M1 island from 9.30am until 3pm.
On Friday May 15, westbound restrictions are planned between the M1 island and Ikea Island during the same hours.
Weekend works are then scheduled on both carriageways. On Saturday May 16, lane closures are planned between Nuthall Island and Phoenix Park from 6am until 10.30am.
On Sunday May 17, both eastbound and westbound lanes are affected between the M1 island and Nuthall Island from 6am until 11.30am.
Motorists are advised to expect delays while the work takes place, particularly during busier daytime periods, and to consider alternative routes where possible.
