Airport police arrest drunk passenger and prevent three intoxicated males from flying

East Midlands Airport Police have been busy this week with inebriated passengers and people hoping to board flights too.

A spokesperson said:

‘Today 3rd March at 7am, the staff at the airport requested our assistance with a troublesome male.

The male was ‘highly’ intoxicated and couldn’t grasp the understanding that he wasn’t allowed to fly. Male escorted from the terminal building and collected by a somewhat dismayed friend.’

‘On Sunday at 6.30 am (before most have had their breakfast) two males were so intoxicated they were rightfully denied flight boarding.

‘Their behaviour was causing upset to staff and fellow passengers.

‘Escorted out of the terminal building and bus fare home required.’

Adding:

‘Last week a male was intoxicated onboard an inbound aircraft whose behaviour was causing alarm and distress to passengers. At the request of the pilot, the aircraft was greeted by our team upon landing.

The male was subsequently arrested!’
