Scott lived in Clipstone and is survived by his partner and children.
His family said in a statement:
“Scott was a devoted and loving father to his four children, a cherished son, brother, and a dear friend to many.
“He was loving, funny, and hardworking, with the biggest heart and endless generosity of time, affection, and love for others.
“Scott will be sorely missed by everyone whose life he touched, and our lives will never be the same without him. We promise to keep his memory alive.”
Detective Constable Liah Lane, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“As we work to provide answers to Mr Beattie’s family, we would like to speak to anyone who saw this white van travelling south towards Ollerton in the moments before the collision.
“Any information you can provide – no matter how small it may seem – may prove crucial to our investigation.”
Anyone with additional information, or dash cam footage, is asked to call 101 quoting incident 372 of 23 January 2026.
