Officers are appealing for information to help locate the family of a man who died on the railway in Nottingham.
At around 2.30pm on Thursday 14 August, officers were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks in the Wollaton area.
Paramedics also attended, however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner.
The man has been identified as Javad Pierovy-Khah, who was aged 34 and living in Nottingham.
Mr Pierovy-Khan was an Iranian national born in Hamedan, and is believed to have arrived in the UK in 2005.
He was around 5ft 9in tall, of average build, with short black hair. Prior to his death he was wearing a blue hoody.
Despite extensive enquiries, officers have been unable to trace Mr Pierovy-Khah’s next of kin or any other family members to inform them of this sad news.
They are appealing for any relatives or anyone who may have information about Mr Pierovy-Khah’s family to come forward and assist their investigation.
