Two men were arrested after officers pulled over a car and recovered a large amount of cocaine.
Authorised Firearms Officers stopped the vehicle on Magdala Road, Nottingham, shortly before 3pm yesterday (Thursday) and found the drugs inside, along with a knife.
A large amount of cash and two further blades were later recovered from a property in Hucknall Road following a search by officers.
Two men, aged 35 and 54, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.
The younger man was also arrested on suspicion of a firearms offence after a canister of CS gas was recovered during the search.
Detective Inspector Paul Shortt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Thanks to this very swift and professional stop by our AFOs, we were able to recover a significant quantity of drugs and take several dangerous weapons out of circulation.”
