A large quantity of what is believed to be crack cocaine was recovered from inside and the four men, aged 34, 30, 29 and 21 were arrested and remain in police custody.

Inspect Mark Dickson, Ashfield District Commander said “Yet again officers on routine patrol have shown a commitment to keeping our community safe. Whilst most people are tucked up in their beds, our officers are out patrolling and being pro-active.

“Illegal drugs cause a great deal of harm to our communities and tackling drug-related crime is one of our main policing objectives in the district. We will continue to disrupt drug dealing and criminality in the area through intelligence and proactive policing and I would urge anyone with information about drug dealing to get in touch with us so we can take action.”

Inspect David Mather, of Nottinghamshire Police’s firearms unit, said: “Our armed response vehicles regularly patrol all areas of the county to keep the public safe. This is a great display of how Nottinghamshire Police work collectively to tackle crime.”
