Arnold: Appeal after raid on e-cigarette store

Officers are appealing for any witnesses after an e-cigarette store was targeted in Arnold.

The incident happened on Monday 1 April between 8am and 9am at The E-Cig Store in Front Street.

Thieves forced a rear window open and raided the business. Numerous items have been stolen at a value unknown.

Officers are carrying out an extensive investigation including forensics and a CCTV trawl to locate the suspects.

They are appealing for any witnesses in the area at the time of the incident or anyone who has been approached looking to sell off the stolen items.

PC Jonathan Oldham, who is investigating the burglary, said:

“Businesses are at the heart of every community and this burglary will have caused significant harm to the owners. We are determined to catch those responsible.

“We are already following a number of lines of inquiry including looking for forensic opportunities at the scene of the crime.

“We would like to appeal to the public. Did you witness this incident or see anyone acting suspiciously around the store on April 1?

“Have you been approached by anyone looking to sell on the stolen items? We would really like to hear from you.
