Police investigating the assault of a man who fell from a window have made an arrest.
Officers are investigating an incident that happened at an address in Rosemary Street, Mansfield, in the early hours of Monday morning (29 November).
It is believed the victim – a man in his thirties – was assaulted inside the property shortly before falling from an upstairs window.
He was then assaulted again outside the property.
He was taken to hospital with leg and facial injuries but his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
A 31-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Dave Prest, of Nottinghamshire Police, this was a violent and sustained assault that began inside an address before continuing outside in the street. Our investigation into what happened is ongoing and we would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed a disturbance in the area between 2am and 3am on Monday morning.”
