The three men were arrested after police stopped a car on Daleside Road, Nottingham, at around 9.10 pm on Thursday (20 March). The suspects, aged 18, 20, and 29, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and criminal damage. They remain in custody.

Detective Inspector James Oakton of Nottinghamshire Police said:
“We are taking these incidents extremely seriously, and detectives are working hard on the investigation.

“High-visibility patrols have been put in place in the affected areas, and I urge anyone with concerns to speak to an officer.

“While we do not believe anyone has been injured, considerable damage has been caused to people’s homes and cars, and these incidents will have caused distress.
“These arrests are an important development, but we still want to hear from anyone with information or relevant CCTV, doorbell, dashcam, or mobile phone footage.”

Anyone who can assist is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 152 of 20 March 2025, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
