A West Bridgford house party that turned violent led to police arresting two men.
Officers were called to a disturbance at a property in Oak Tree Close, West Bridgford, at 8am on Saturday (29 January 2022).
It was alleged one person suffered a laceration to his finger following a tussle involving a knife, while another victim had been punched in the face.
Two men, aged 32 and 38, were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
They have since been bailed pending further enquires.
Chief Inspector Jon Foy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers did a great job getting to the scene so quickly and arresting two suspects.
“We believe that those involved are in some way known to each other and that there was no wider risk to the community.
“As a police force, we are committed to reducing knife crime, with two dedicated knife crime teams working hard every day to keep people safe by tackling this issue.
“I would urge anyone who is concerned about someone they believe to carry a knife to contact the police so we can act quickly to take weapons off the streets – and the people who use them to cause harm – in our neighbourhoods.
“Investigations into this latest incident are ongoing so I would ask anyone with additional information about what happened to call us on 101 quoting incident 195 of 29 January.”
