Two men have been arrested after police received reports of men trying to sell a stolen laptop.
Officers received a call explaining an Apple Macbook had been stolen from inside an address in Dorket Drive, Wollaton, at around 9.50pm on Saturday evening (11 September 2021).
The men were later arrested in Western Boulevard, Wollaton, after police received reports of men trying to sell a laptop to members of the public.
A 23 and 31-year-old have both been arrested on suspicion of burglary of a dwelling and theft and have been released on police bail.
The 31-year-old suspect was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug.
Detective Sergeant James Bond, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Reports of burglary are always dealt with thoroughly and treated seriously.
“Officers in this instance arrived quickly at the victim’s address and were able then to track down the two suspects resulting in their arrest.
“Burglaries can have a huge impact on victims as not only are they left without their personal items but it can also affect them emotionally as it’s a complete breach of privacy in the place that most people consider their safe space.
“We encourage people to ensure their homes are left secure and for anyone who notices anything suspicious to report it to us as soon as possible.”
