A disqualified driver was arrested days after he was banned from the roads after police spotted a vehicle going through a red light.
Officers stopped the grey Honda Civic after witnessing the traffic offence in Rushmore Avenue, West Bridgford, on 20 July.
Checks found the driver was handed a 12-month driving ban by magistrates on 30 June in relation to a driving offence in January.
Rayhan Aziz, of Ashdale Road, Bakersfield, Nottingham, has been charged with driving whilst disqualified.
The 46-year-old has been bailed and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 4 August.

“Driving bans are imposed for a very important reason and we will continue to take robust action against offenders who fail to adhere to them.
“Further improving road safety and reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured on our roads remains a key priority, which is why we take appropriate action against those who commit driving contraventions, including minor offences.”
