Bear Care Day Nurseries is marking a significant milestone this year, celebrating its 40th anniversary as the longest-running day nursery in Nottinghamshire under the same ownership.
Founded in January 1985 by Janet Budden, Bear Care has provided high-quality childcare to families across the region, building a trusted reputation over the decades. Caroline, Janet’s daughter, who has taken over the running of the business, said: “It’s been a wonderful journey watching so many children grow, learn, and thrive with us. I’m proud of the strong relationships we’ve built with parents and our dedicated team.”
The nursery has grown from humble beginnings to becoming a cornerstone of early childhood education in Nottinghamshire.
As the first in the area to emphasise both emotional and educational development, Bear Care has remained at the forefront of childcare services, offering nurturing environments where children can flourish.
“Seeing the children we cared for come back as adults with their own families has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey,” Caroline shared. “We look forward to continuing to provide the best care and education for many more years to come.”
With a strong legacy and a reputation for excellence, Bear Care Day Nurseries remains a beloved institution, committed to giving children the best possible start in life.
