Bingham school has to close for the day because of water leak

Toot Hill School in Bingham had had to close today.

The school announced:

‘Unfortunately, Toot Hill School and Sixth Form College are closed today 30 June because of no water supply.

‘Health and safety regulations mean that we are unable to accommodate students on site.

‘However, we are very confident that the issue will be resolved later today and the school and college will be open tomorrow.

‘We will hopefully confirm this position later today.

‘Unfortunately, this evening’s Summer Concert is cancelled.

‘We will soon confirm the rescheduling of this and other events, such as the College Induction day.’

‘Teachers are setting work on MS Teams for students for today. There will be no live lessons but resources will be available on MS Teams as well as links to high quality learning platforms such as Oak National Academy. Students should aim to follow their normal timetable, as well as ensuring they take regular breaks from the screen.’

‘We are providing free school meal vouchers to eligible students and we are contacting families directly about this.

‘We will keep families updated throughout the day and we thank you for your patience and flexibility.’
