Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist died following a collision.
Officers were called to Field Lane, Chilwell, at 11:16 p.m. on Monday (21 October) when paramedics reported a teenage boy had suffered serious injuries.
The 17-year-old was taken to hospital but died on Tuesday from his injuries.
Detective Inspector Kate Savage, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“This is an incredibly sad incident and our thoughts are with the family and loved ones at this distressing time.
“They are being supported by specially trained officers.
“I would like to commend emergency services personnel who attended and also thank members of the public who stopped to help.
“An investigation is now underway into what happened, and we are working to understand the full circumstances.
“It is therefore vitally important that anyone with any information, dashcam, CCTV, doorbell, or mobile phone footage of the incident gets in touch.
“We are particularly urging any motorists who were in the area around the time of the crash to contact us with any information that they think could help.
“Any information – no matter how small it may seem – could help us to better understand the circumstances around this tragic incident.”
