Aspley – Officers are appealing for witnesses after multiple cars were either smashed or set on fire.

Police say that a crowbar was reportedly used to damage three vehicles parked in Calcroft Close, Aspley.

Around ten minutes later, the same individual was reportedly also seen setting fire to two cars in Winford Close, Aspley.

Police believe an unknown man committed each of the offences. He is described as wearing a black hoodie with the hood up and black tracksuit bottoms.

Inspector Gordon Fenwick, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“The actions of the individual involved in this incident were completely unacceptable and caused a great deal of damage.

“Our officers will be stepping up patrols around the area over the next few days to provide the public with some reassurance.

“We want to ensure the person responsible for this is brought to justice, and the public could have a big role in helping us do this.

“Anyone who has any information about what happened, or who has any CCTV or doorbell footage that could assist our investigation, is asked to share it with us.

“This can be reported to the police by calling 101, quoting incident 666 of 24 October 2024, or to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
