Police executed a warrant as part of a county-wide clamp down on drug supply, leading to the arrest of man and the recovery of drugs.
Officers attended a house in Birchwood Road, Wollaton yesterday (6 January 2021) and found multiple cannabis plants and cash inside the property.
A 34-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply drugs as well as cultivation of cannabis. He has been bailed pending further enquires.
The warrant was part of the force’s ongoing commitment to tackle organised crime in the city and county.
Detective Sergeant Emma Pollard, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Nottinghamshire Police takes drug crime very seriously and will thoroughly investigate all reports made to us.
“We are now working to establish the circumstances of the cannabis plants found in the warrant alongside an ongoing enquiry into organised drug crime in the county.
“Drugs can have a devastating impact on communities and individuals and as a force, we will ensure that all intelligence provided to us is investigated.
“It is really important that if you see anything suspicious in your area to report it to Nottinghamshire Police as soon as possible on 101 or in an emergency, dial 999.”
