The incident happened on Tuesday 1 September 2020.
The pictures show the damage caused by the reckless and dangerous act.
Derbyshire Police said:
‘A38 Markeaton. Around 23:30hrs on Tuesday night a lump of concrete was thrown over the pedestrian bridge linking Markeaton Park and Ashbourne Road.
‘It hit the windscreen of a HGV, pure luck no one was killed. Whoever did this needs to be in prison.
