Coronavirus: West Bridgford taxi company will collect prescriptions and shopping for elderly and vulnerable free of charge

Yellow Taxis in West Bridgford have offered to pick up prescriptions and pre-paid shopping orders and deliver free of charge for people are self isolating or are vulnerable.

A spokesperson said:

‘Just call us on our main number 0115 981 8181 and advise the operator that they require assistance with either shopping collections or prescription collections, we have a list of drivers who have volunteered to provide this service.

‘We will then dispatch one of these drivers to carry out the request free of charge.

These journeys will of course be undertaken when drivers are free from fee paying bookings, so during busy times there may be a short wait for the delivery, but I am sure people will understand that.’
