A Rushcliffe councillor has raised more than £2,500 for Guide Dogs UK after travelling over 200 miles using only local buses.
Cllr Andy Brown began his “mystery bus pass tour” in East Leake, using his older person’s concessionary travel pass to see how far he could travel in one day.
His journey took him through Nottingham, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Barnsley, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Bury before he reached Manchester.

Cllr Brown used 10 buses during the challenge and returned home shortly before midnight.
Guide Dogs UK is the chosen charity of the Mayor of Rushcliffe, Cllr Richard Butler.
