Derby Road back to ‘one way’ between QMC and Priory next week

Following the temporary reopening of Derby Road as a two-way route over the Christmas period, National Highways will resume one way running between QMC and Priory roundabouts from Tuesday 20 January until late spring as part of the ongoing carriageway reconstruction works.

As a result, Orange Line 35 and 36 buses will once again divert on journeys away from the City Centre. Delays may be experienced on Orange Line services and on Pink 28, 30; Navy 48/X, 49/A/B/X and Grey 53, 54 as traffic adjusts to the restriction.

Orange 35 and 36 to City Centre

Normal route. Bus stops at Wollaton Park Gates and Lenton Hall on Derby Road are closed. This is to keep traffic flowing along Derby Road.

Buses will serve stops Charles Avenue and University North Entrance.

Orange 35, 35A, 35B to Wollaton Vale, Strelley and Bulwell

Buses will follow their normal route to QMC then divert left Clifton Boulevard to Dunkirk roundabout, right Beeston Road, continue University Boulevard, continue Woodside Road to Priory roundabout where they will resume normal route along Wollaton Vale.

Between QMC Main Entrance and University West Entrance, buses will only stop at Lace Street, University South Entrance, Tennis Centre and  University Boulevard, Broadgate named stops. They will not stop at any stop on Clifton Boulevard or Paddling Pool. All stops along Woodside Road will be served.

Orange 36 to Beeston and Chilwell

Buses will follow their normal route to QMC then divert left Clifton Boulevard to Dunkirk roundabout, right Beeston Road, continue University Boulevard, left at University West Entrance to resume normal route from Broadgate. Customers who normally catch the bus from City or QMC to Woodside Road should instead catch the diverted Orange 35.

Between QMC Main Entrance and University West Entrance, buses will only stop at Lace Street, University South Entrance, Tennis Centre and  University Boulevard, Broadgate named stops. They will not stop at any stop on Clifton Boulevard or Paddling Pool.

Orange 36U to Beeston and Chilwell

Buses will follow their normal route to QMC and enter University North Entrance as normal, but buses will divert along Cripps Hill and Beeston Lane – passing East Midlands Conference Centre – to University West Entrance, where they will resume their normal route to Beeston.
