Police officers investigating the theft of a woman’s wedding and engagement rings want to speak to this man.
The victim put the jewellery for sale on Facebook Marketplace and a potential buyer arranged to travel to her home.
When the man arrived at the property, in Park Crescent, Bilborough, Nottingham, he agreed to buy both rings and showed the victim details of a bank transfer on his phone.
He said it would take time for the money to reach her account and left the scene.
The victim later discovered no transfer had taken place and the man had blocked her from messaging him further.

Police Constable Natalie Hodges, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are determined to trace this man so we can take his account of what happened.
“The victim agreed to sell these rings for a significant amount of money.
“We would also urge anyone else selling items online and meeting potential buyers to take every possible precaution to avoid becoming a victim of crime.”
Anyone who can assist should call police on 101, quoting incident 578 of 18 May 2026, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
