A number of roadworks and temporary traffic restrictions are set to affect roads across Nottingham over the coming weeks, with several closures, lane restrictions and temporary traffic lights in place until late summer.
On Nuthall Road, lane closures remain in place between Llanberis Grove and Western Boulevard until 30 March for footpath resurfacing works, which are likely to slow traffic on one of the main routes into the city from the west.
Nearby, longer-term works on Woodside Road between Derby Road and University Boulevard will continue until 31 May, where parking restrictions have been introduced as part of National Highways activity linked to ongoing A52 improvements.
In the north of the city, a number of roads including Thane Road, Abbeyfield Road, Redfield Road and Bull Close Road are subject to closures and parking bay suspensions until 3 May for highways works. Further disruption is expected in Basford and Sherwood, where the junction of Hayden Road and Devonshire Crescent is closed until 31 March.
One of the longest-running closures is on Lindfield Road, between Alwyn Road and Shipley Road, which is shut until 21 August for Severn Trent works. This is expected to affect local access for several months.
In the city centre, Heathcote Street is subject to parking bay suspensions until 31 March due to Cadent Gas works, while three-way temporary traffic lights are in operation on Curzon Street between Union Road and St Ann’s Well Road until 17 April.

A number of additional short-term works are due to begin at the end of March. On 30 March, Squires Avenue will be closed between Sandhurst Road and the park entrance for carriageway resurfacing, with associated parking suspensions in place.
Lane closures are also planned on Clifton Boulevard at the junction with Queens Drive on 30 and 31 March for cabling works, while Mansfield Road at Pelham Avenue will be reduced to one lane between 30 March and 4 April for resurfacing.
Elsewhere, Sutton Passey’s Crescent will be closed from 30 March to 3 April for drainage works, and an emergency closure will be in place on Woodborough Road between Mission Street and Querneby Avenue from 30 March until 12 April for Severn Trent repairs.
On 1 April, two-way temporary traffic lights will also be in operation on Electric Avenue for telecoms works, which may lead to short delays in the area.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys, particularly where multiple schemes overlap, with disruption expected on key routes into and around the city.
